In Loving Memory of Mark Thomas Conlan It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Mark Thomas Conlan, a beloved husband, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend who left us unexpectedly in February. Mark believed he was fortunate to grow up in the 1950s, when kids were free to wander and explore the great outdoors. He lived an exuberant life filled with exploration and adventures from coast to coast and far beyond. His decades were filled with hiking, back-packing, sailing, canoeing, biking, flying and skiing, (both snow and water), throughout the Great Northwest. He attended the University of Oregon, the University of Washington and graduated from South Seattle College in mechanical engineering. He was very ingenious and inventive. If he encountered a difficult problem with something he was working on, he would come up with a unique solution and it would always work! His diverse work experience varied over the years from the Forest Service; to Boeing's Defense Division in White Sands, NM; to his father's business, Distributed Technologies; to developing Sunset Ridge in Mason County; to his entrepreneurships with his companies Yankee Power and Keltic Technologies. Throughout his years, Mark always had by his side, a loyal dog as his companion. Several magical canines eagerly shared in his adventures and brought him an abundance of joy! Above and beyond his recreational and professional achievements, Mark was the central act in the Conlan family gatherings. He enjoyed people of all ages, laughing easily, hugging often and always helping and giving to others. Mark was a masterful storyteller and history enthusiast sharing his tales and knowledge of history with everyone. Mark lived his life fully and with great joy. Family and friends will miss him every day and will hold his goodness and zest for life forever in their hearts. In honor of Mark's giving spirit, please consider a donation to Shriner's Hospitals for Children. https://lovetotherescue.org/ To plant a beautiful memorial tree in memory of Mark, please visit our Tree Store.
