Born on December 27, 1956, in
Dallas, Texas, to Edward Jackson Davison, Sr., and Ruth Marie Breedlove, Jack lived most of his life in
Columbia, MO.
Jack was joined in marriage by Brenda McCann on December 26, 1976. From this union, they shared two children, Matthew Davison and Micki Kliethermes. Brenda preceded Jack in death on October 24, 2018. The family was at the heart of Jack's world. As a father, Jack's guidance and love shaped the lives of Matt and Micki. He took immense pride in their accomplishments and supported them in their endeavors.
Jack is survived by his sister, Becky Stone (Steve), and brother, David Davison, both residing in
Columbia, MO. His children Matthew Davison (Joy), and Micki Kliethermes, both of
Columbia, MO. His grandchildren, Cassie Mahon (Patrick) of
Jefferson City, MO, Alicia Brooks (Kyle) of
Chicago, IL, Alexis Kliethermes of
Breckenridge, CO, Ellie Shaw of
Harrisburg, MO, Henry Kliethermes, and Juliana Kliethermes, both of
Columbia, MO.
Jack was known for his candid stories and his wit, and was widely loved for it. His humor and love touched the lives of many. Jack always loved to host family gatherings and made everyone feel welcomed and special. He took pride in providing for his family and doing special things to let them know they were loved. Jack was adored by the people who knew him best. To know him was to love him.
Jack worked for Consolidated Public Water District #1 for over two decades and loved his work family, who referred to him as JD. The relationships he formed with his co-workers meant the world to him. One of his favorite company events was the chili cook-off, and JD was widely known as the "grill master" for their barbeques.
Jack's departure leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew him. Yet, his spirit lives on in the stories shared, the lessons taught, and the love he showered upon family and friends. As we remember Jack Davison, let us celebrate a life well lived-a life that left a mark on our hearts forever.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the
American Cancer Society in Jack's memory.
