Funeral service for Edward " Eddie " Dodson Sr. 71, of Medicine Park, Oklahoma will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, October 9th, 2025 at Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home with Pastor Donald Kirby officiating.

Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens under the direction of Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. until 8:00 P.M. and special visitation held 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, October 8th, 2025 at the funeral home.

Mr. Dodson passed away on Tuesday September 30th 2025.

Eddie was born on August 10th, 1954 in Wichita Falls, TX to the late James R and Lois Wharton Dodson. Eddie grew up and spent his adult life in Medicine Park, OK. After graduating High School, Eddie started working in maintenance, working at many different places but primarily working at Medicine Park Telephone Company and later Habitat for Humanity. Eddie met and married his wife, Rhonda on August 30th, 1975 and to that union, two children were born. He was always an active father in his children's lives, he was at every sporting event, band practice and concert. Eddie settled down and retired in 2013. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He enjoyed watching TV, specifically action movies. Eddie was a "Jack of all Trades".

He is survived by his wife of 50 years Rhonda Dodson; a son Edward "Marshell" Dodson Jr.; a daughter, Heather and Travis Vanden Brink; a sister Threasie Hunyadi and sons, and one grandson, James Travis Vanden Brink.

In addition to his parents, James R and Lois Dodson, he is preceded in death by his brother, Roscoe Dewitt Dodson; his in-laws Loy and Alleen Tucker; 2 brothers-in-law Lloyd and Floyd Tucker and sister-in-law Frankie VanMeter.
