Edward Owen Eslinger, born November 28, 1958 in Kinsley, Kansas, died unexpectedly at his home in Kinsley on March 3, 2025. Edward was the son of George Edward Eslinger and Frances Marie Smykla.
Ed was a dedicated and loving father and grandfather, loved spending time with family and friends telling stories. Edward held an unwavering faith in God.
On November 15, 1980, Edward married Tina Louise Rickers, and two children were born into this union; David Owen Eslinger and Christina Eslinger. On April 7, 2001, he married Jane Elizabeth Buhrer, his surviving widow. He is also survived by four grandchildren; Penelope and Able Resse and Phoenix and Ember Reason. He is also survived by sisters; S. Kim (Miles) Pepperd of Kinsley, Ellen Jacobsgard of New Castle, Colorado and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister Vicky Smith of Parker, Colorado, a brother David Eslinger and his wife Gretta Jo of Wichita, KS.
Edward and his brother and sisters were raised on a farm at the northwest corner of Kinsley where they learned the ethic of hard work from their father George. Ed graduated from Kinsley High School in 1976 and carried the love for hard work throughout his life as the Owner and Operator of Eslinger Concrete and Ready Mix.
Memorials are suggested for Edwards grandchildren in care of McKillip Memorial Funeral Home.
There will be a graveside service at Hillside Cemetery on March 5, 2025 at 1pm.
