Edward "Mike" Fertig passed away peacefully on October 2,2025 surrounded by the love of his family at home.

An outstanding husband, dad, papa and friend. He will be missed more than words can express.

He loved to fish and golf. He found joy in life's simple pleasures – love of his family and friends.

Born on July 30, 1939 in Chicago to the late Howard and Julia (Homan). Loved brother of the late Howie. He proudly served in the US Air Force and was a retired Sgt of the State Police.

Survived by his wife of 62 years, Yvonne, their two children Cathy (Tim) Lacy and Donna Fertig. Cherished papa of Ryan Fertig, Julianne, Charlie and the late John Charles "Jack" Lacy and bonus grandson Adam Plotke.

A special thank you to Michael O'Neil for his dedication and care to our dad for the last four years.

Please omit flowers/trees - donations preferred to the Alzheimer's Association.

Deacon William Dunn will officiate the 7pm service.

All services conclude after the visitation – interment private.
