Edward Charles Fuhr, 69, formerly of the North Hills, passed away peacefully on January 9, 2025. Born on April 4, 1955, in Pittsburgh, PA, Ed was the beloved son of the late Charles and Pauline Fuhr.
A skilled carpenter by trade, Ed found joy in working in construction and had a lifelong passion for woodworking and building intricate models. He cherished the simple pleasures of life, whether it was spending time at home, tending to his garden, or enjoying rounds of golf and evenings at the bowling alley with his close friends.
Ed is survived by his devoted partner, Mary Hudak; his loving siblings, Janet, Barbara, and Theresa Fuhr, as well as his brother David (Kathy) Fuhr. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Ed's kindness and gentle spirit will also be missed by his two cherished cats, Felix and Scarlet.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, from 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Pittsburgh Cremation & Funeral Care, 5405 Steubenville Pike, McKees Rocks, PA 15136. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, January 16, at 11:00 am at Archangel Gabriel Parish (Holy Trinity Church), 5718 Steubenville Pike, McKees Rocks, PA 15136, followed by burial at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery.
In honor of Ed's deep love for animals, memorial contributions may be made in his name to Animal Friends https://www.thinkingoutsidethecage.org
