Edward J. Guerino Jr.

Edward J. Guerino Jr., 62, lifelong resident of Nutley, passed away on May 6, 2025. Born on January 9, 1963, in Belleville, NJ to the late Detective Edward Guerino Sr. and Theresa (Pascale) Guerino. Over the last 38 years he was employed by Clearspan of Dallas, Texas, most recently as an IT Implementation Specialist; having worked on some of their largest and most challenging accounts and being known for his dedication, drive, and professionalism.
Ed was a sports fan and athlete; having been the captain of his high school football team and graduated from Nutley HS in1981. He played softball well into his adult life and when he was not playing sports, he enjoyed watching them especially his NY Mets and Giants. Ed also enjoyed his music including the Grateful Dead and was a good cook. Family meant a lot to Ed, spending his free time caring for and building memories with them. Survived by his daughter Erica and her mother Paula Guerino, sisters Patricia Burghardt, and her husband Robert, Joann Natiello, many nieces and nephews, and his beloved grand-dog Copper.
Known by family, friends and co-workers as a kind, generous and gentle soul who will be sorely missed.
Edward was predeceased by his brother-in-law Samuel Natiello.
The funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, May 12, 2025, at 10:30AM at St. Mary's Church, Nutley. The inurnment will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Lyndhurst.
