Chapel Hill, NC – Edward W. Hutton, Jr., 66, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday, November 19, 2024. He was the beloved husband of the late Mary Anne (Keonig) Hutton, who passed away this past May. Born in Providence, Rhode Island, he was a son of the late Edward, Sr., and Regina M. (Hilliard) Hutton.
Ed served in the United States Army and went on to become a biomedical engineer. He was the proprietor of a biomedical engineering company that he founded in North Carolina. In his free time, he enjoyed traveling and flying and earned his own private pilot's license and was also a longtime member of The Salvation Army.
Ed leaves a stepson, Sean Kaye and his wife, Christina, of Apex, North Carolina; two grandchildren, Landen and Nolan Kaye in North Carolina and many cousins and friends. He was the brother of the late Jeffrey and Stephen Hutton.
Relatives and friends are welcome to attend a Graveside Service on Monday, December 2nd at 11 a.m. at Riverside Cemetery, 752 Pleasant St., Pawtucket. Flowers and calling hours are respectfully omitted. Memorial gifts to The Salvation Army, 102 High St., Pawtucket, RI 02860 would be appreciated. Arrangements are entrusted to William W.
