Charles Joseph Hutton, of Philadelphia, passed away on September 17th 2025 at the age of 77. He was the loving husband of Diane Hutton (nee Horlacher) for 56 years and caring father to Charles Hutton III and Melissa Twilley. He was the proud Pop Pop to Brittany Makowski, Tyler Hutton, Ryan Hutton, and James Twilley, and Great Pop Pop to 6. Charlie will also be greatly missed by his siblings; George Hutton and Robin Pavel.

Charlie was born in Philadelphia and raised in the Holmesburg section of the city. He was the son of the late Charles Hutton Sr. and Marion Williams. He was a proud graduate Lincoln High and Dobbin Technical College. Charlie was a multi year owner of Eagles seasons tickets and also loved his 76ers.

In 1968, Charlie was lucky to have his car breakdown. His friend Bob came to pick him up and brought her friend, Diane with her. The rest became their history together.

Charlie will be remembered for his love of music, always carried a song on his soul. He sang in a local Acapella group for year's, often practicing in Charlies kitchen at nights. He passion for music spanned many genres, eras, and bands, and he was always ready to sing along. Some of his favorites include Smokey Robinson, Reggae Groups, and The Allman Brothers.

Charlie was happiest when he was close to a beach; the warmer the better. He and Diane traveled to many tropical destinations over the years where they enjoyed life in the sun. He particularly loved Jamaica and Ocean City Maryland.

Charlie will always be remembered as the family Weather Man. Always being consulted before a big vacation was to be planned. Charlie would pour itself into wind patterns, pressure systems, and weather models to give his best predictions.

Charlie was a devoted family man. He loved to be available and present with his children, grandchildren, and great grands whenever possible. His grandchildren will always remember him as a devoted, active, adventurous, and fun Pop Pop.

Relatives and friends are invited to Charlie's Life Celebration Memorial Visitation on Thursday September 25th from 10-11AM with a Memorial Service to follow at 11AM. In lieu of flowers, donations in Charlie's memory to the Alzheimer's Association of America would be greatly appreciated.
