Edward Joseph Jackman of Mahopac, NY passed away unexpectedly on May 16, 2022 at the age of 56. He was born on August 19, 1965 in Brooklyn, NY, son of James and the late Joanne (Connors) Jackman.
He loved the NY Yankees, NY Giants, cowboy flicks of any kind and his four favorite movies/shows that he watched endlessly were Shane, The Outlaw Josey Wales, Braveheart and every single episode of Gunsmoke. Eddie worked as a HVAC Mechanic for his own company, All Comfort, Inc. He was affectionate, fun, loving and extremely caring. He wore his heart on his sleeve. He was well versed in so many subjects and could hold a conversation with anyone. His son Matthew was the pride and joy of his life. Eddie will be truly missed but definitely not forgotten.
Eddie is survived by his wife Lori Desetto, his son Matthew, his father James, siblings Barbara Jackman-Rauer, Vicky Fornasar (John), and James Jackman; mother-in-law and father-in-law Cookie and Anthony Vasquez; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Natalie Ortiz, Wendy Class (Paul), Cindy Eckstein (Matthew); his nieces and nephews Meghan, Richie, Gianna, Nicholas, Evie, Zachary, Hunter, Mason and too many more relatives to name but just as important.
All are welcome to attend a memorial visitation on Saturday, May 28 from 12-2 PM at the Joseph J. Smith Funeral Home in Mahopac, NY. The prayer service will begin at 2 PM; private cremation was held prior to services.
In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions in his name to the National Alliance for Children's Grief, www.childrengrieve.org or Autism Speaks, www.autismspeaks.org.
