Edward John Kroner Jr., formerly of St. Clair, Missouri, passed away Sunday, August 4, 2024 at the Missouri Veterans Home in St. James, Missouri. He was 92 years of age.

Edward, the son of the late Edward and Sophia (Benz) Kroner Sr, was born November 26, 1931 in St. Louis, Missouri. Edward was married to his wife, Diane for 66 years.

Edward is survived by his sons, John Kroner of Oklahoma and Steve Kroner (Candace) of Jefferson City, Missouri; daughter, Cindy Phillips of St. Clair, Missouri; grandchildren: Stephanie Kroner, Sarah Kroner, Jessica Kroner, Jason Kroner, Clint Wheeler, Keith Wheeler, Tricia Wheeler, and Amy Schwanitz; great-grandchildren: Damien Kroner, Joslynn Kroner, Elyse Wheeler, Evan Wheeler; and nephews, Tom Kroner and Tim Kroner.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Diane; parents; mother-in-law, Juanita Johnson; brother, Thomas P. Kroner, and daughter, Linda M. Kroner.

Edward enjoyed fishing and playing poker and bingo. He was a talented wood carver; he liked to carve walking sticks and canes. He loved his dogs.

A Celebration of Edward's life will be from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Saturday, August 10, 2024 in the Meriwether Room at Tyler M. Woods Funeral Director.

Expressions of sympathy may be made to the American Lung Association.
