On Sunday morning January 4, 2026, Edward Joseph Jr. peacefully transitioned into eternal rest at the age of 76. He was born to the union of the late Daisy Fobb-Joseph and Edward Joseph Sr. on February 22, 1949. A lifelong resident of the Hollygrove community, he retired from the Bunzl Corporation as a forklift operator. Edward always wore a smile, encouraging his family to move in positive ways at all times. His memories will forever be cherished by his devoted wife Pamela Hurst-Joseph, his children: Edward (Laetitica) Joseph III, Cynthia Jones, Veronica (Clarence) McDaniel, Torin (Brittany) Hurst, Orin, and Shalanda Hurst. Ten grandchildren, brother Ricky Joseph, sister; Sheila Joseph, uncle; Roy Fobb, aunt; Shirley Fobb-Millet, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives. Edward is proceeded in death by his parents Daisy and Edward Sr., grandparents Nitsie and Shelton Fobb, and one sister Patricia Joseph. Relatives and friends of the family, LCMC-UMC, Ochsner, and St. Bernard Nursing Home are invited to attend the Homegoing Celebration on Thursday January 15, 2026, for 1:30 p.m. at The Boyd Family Funeral Home, 5001 Chef Menteur Highway, New Orleans, LA 70126.
