Edward Stanley Kubiszewski

Edward "Ed" Stanley Kubiszewski Jr., 81, of Grand Ledge, went to be with his Lord and Savior on August 3, 2023. He was born on May 4, 1942 in Manistee, MI, son of the late Edward Stanley and Michalena (Smogoleski) Kubiszewski. Ed attended Manistee High School, and on February 1, 1964 he married the love of his life Jacquelyn (Putney) Kubiszewski, with whom he celebrated 59 years of marriage. In his younger years, Ed was a musician playing the keyboard, concertina, and accordion. Ed retired from Industrial Metal Products (IMPCO) as a Machinist in Tool and Die and he was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church. He had great love for his family and often said he would move heaven and earth for them if that was needed. He enjoyed anything that had to do with family. He will be dearly missed by all.
Ed is survived by his wife, Jacquelyn; children, Kevin (Jean) Kubiszewski and Keana Kubiszewski; grandchildren: John Kubiszewski, Kayla (Jake) Hetcel, Maxen Kubiszewski, and Marlena Kubiszewski; brother, Melvin (Rosemary) Borucki; brothers-in-law: Marshall "Mick" Putney, Larry Czap, Franklin (Bonnie) Putney, and Harley Osborn; sisters-in-law: Judith (Steve) Cridler, Charlotte Putney, Mary Putney, Elaine Putney, and Bernadine Borucki; plus many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Michalena (Borucki) Kubiszewski; siblings: Germaine (Frank) Rybicki, Leona (Floyd) Mucha, Virginia (Fritz) Zaiger, Leonard (Hazel) Borucki, and Robert "Bob" Borucki; brothers-in-law: Kenneth Putney, Jack (Nancy) Putney, David Putney, Robert Putney, and Dickson Putney; sisters-in-law, Ruth Putney and Jenny Osborn.
A Funeral Mass will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 11, 2023 at St. Michael Catholic Church, 345 Edwards St, Grand Ledge, MI 48837 with a visitation one hour prior to the service. A visitation will also be held on Thursday, August 10, 2023 at Mills Funeral Home, Peters & Murray Chapel, 301 E. Jefferson St., Grand Ledge from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. with a Scripture Service beginning at 7:30 p.m. Ed will be laid to rest at Mount Carmel Cemetery in Manistee at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in loving memory of Ed to St. Jude Children's Research or The Special Olympics.
