Edward Larkin

Edward Victor Larkin went to his heavenly home on December 27, 2022, at the age of
61 after a long illness.
Ed was born to Victor and Genevieve Larkin in Fort Huachuca, Arizona on July 30,
1961. He is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Alita, sisters Denise Larkin and
Shirley Spurgeon (Monty), honorary daughter Kaytee Hughes, Godchildren Gabby
Flaherty and Mason Hughes along with numerousnieces and nephews. He leaves us
to join in Heaven with his beloved son Joshua, mother and father, sister Sonia Joseph and
countless other family and friends who have passed before him.
Ed grew up in Sun Valley where he attended Roscoe Elementary School, Sun Valley Jr
High (where he met Alita) and briefly attended Polytechnic High School before moving
to Palmdale.
After graduating from Palmdale High School in 1979, Ed worked for Rockwell and
Boeing and developed an appreciation for aerospace, but it was his work with Wilson
Ambulance that was special. He strongly believed in helping people in difficult
circumstances, a practice he continued throughout his life. Ed later worked in the office furniture industry for Office Interiors Plus, Environments Plus and Staples Business Systems as a project manager.
As a member of Grace Chapel church in Lancaster, CA, Sunday was his favorite day.
Ed's strong faith in God and wonderful sense of humor were with him until the end. His
love for his wife was infinite and was displayed in countless ways throughout their life
together. He loved riding his Harley Davidson, the Dallas Cowboys, playing guitar in
praise bands, participating in charities and outreach programs.
Service will be held Saturday, January 21st at Grace Chapel church located at
44648 15th West, Lancaster, California 93534 at 11:00 a.m. Reception immediately following.
