Edward "Ed" Latendresse was born in Pontiac, Michigan on June 28th, 1949. He was welcomed peacefully into the arms of his Lord and Savior on October 8th, 2024 at the age of 75. Ed was preceded in death by his parents: Edward and June Latendresse. He is survived by his two children: Ben Latendresse (Maggie) and Sarah Rydell (Carl); three sweet grandchildren: Marshall, Isaac, and Maxine; and two sisters: Mary Ann Mellen (Mike) and Jane Kelly (Chuck).
Ed was a very proud 1972 alumni of Michigan State University (MSU) with a degree in Financial Administration. He went on to earn a CPA certification. While at MSU, he met his loyal group of Business Fraternity brothers, who are all still close to this day. They were more than friends to Ed – they were truly brothers. Ed spent most of his career in computer software sales.
Some of Ed's fondest memories were from the time he spent in Lewiston, Michigan, at his family cottage on the lake. He spent time skiing, boating, fishing, and simply relaxing. Even as Ed's memory began to fail him later in life, his memories from Lewiston never failed to spark conversation and a smile.
At the center of Ed's life was his faith as a Christian. He strived to study the Bible regularly, and to have a strong faith in Jesus. The Biblical knowledge he gained was something that he passed to Ben and Sarah, which is a great treasure to them. Ed often talked about Heaven, and about how he was excited to be there someday. While our earthly hearts are feeling empty after the loss of Ed, we are truly happy that Ed has a renewed body in Heaven, and that he gets to live for eternity in everlasting peace and joy with our Heavenly Father.
A special thank you to Franklin Place, Bluestone, and Legacy Hospice Staff for the care provided to Ed.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, October 20, 2024 from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM, with a service to follow at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 13445 West Hampton Road, Brookfield, Wisconsin.
