Lee Sabomnim was my instructor at what was then called East Texas State University in Commerce. He was a visiting professor while earning his degree, and I signed up for his Taekwondo class. After the second class he asked me to take his 'Self Defense for Women' class as he needed an attacker for his students to practice on.... boy did I take a beating lol. Such a wonderful man and instructor, I sure wish I could have studied longer under him, but I was graduating. I often think of him and run the Hapkido moves I learned through my mind. I will soon pass a little knowledge to my granddaughters thanks to him.
Nearly 40 years later, I was searching for his name and came across his obituary, truly an unforgettable person.

Master Lee was a great teacher of mine. I took several years of Tae-kwon-do with him at the university. He was always kind and had a good heart. I am sorry for your loss.

My condolences to the family Master Lee was my karate teacher at Nichols state for years. Those days are still vivid in my memory even after all these years. I had much respect for him as did the other students.
