Edward Maslanka, a dedicated civil engineer and beloved family man, passed away peacefully at his residence on November 5, 2024, at the age of 90. Born on September 1, 1934, in Cook County, Illinois, Edward lived a life characterized by commitment to both his profession and his family.
Edward served honorably in the United States military, a testament to his steadfast character and dedication to serving his country. His career as a civil engineer allowed him to contribute to numerous projects that improved infrastructure and community spaces, leaving a lasting impact on the environments he worked in.
He is survived by his loving wife, Angeles Castaner Maslanka, and is the proud father of several wonderful children. Edward's family was the center of his world, and he cherished the moments spent with them.
He will be remembered for his kindness, hard work, and the love he shared with those around him. Edward Maslanka’s legacy will continue to live on through his family and the many lives he touched throughout his journey.
