Edward Eugene McLin Jr., affectionately known as Ed, passed away on May 10, 2025, at the age of 61. Born on February 2, 1964, Ed dedicated his life to being a loving husband, father, and grandfather. His commitment to his family was unmatched, and he was celebrated as the best husband, daddy, and grandpa.
A skilled residential and commercial roofer, Ed's work ethic exemplified his hardworking nature. He took pride in his profession and strived to provide for his loved ones. Outside of work, Ed found joy in fishing and hog hunting, activities that reflected his love for the outdoors and adventure.
Ed is survived by his beloved wife, Debbie McLin; his cherished children, 3 sons, Anthony D'Ippolito (Susan), Edward Eugene McLin III and James McLin(Kristin); a daughter, Mary Steadman (Mark); he also leaves behind a legacy in his 11 grandchildren and 2 great granddaughters, who were the light of his life; his siblings, Tommy, Kevin, Randy, Becky, and Kay; many friends, including his good friends Smitty and Cory, remember Ed as a source of strength and kindness in their lives.
Ed was preceded in death by his father, Edward Eugene McLin Sr., and his mother, Mary Sheets Posey.
As we reflect on Ed's life, we celebrate a man who loved deeply, worked tirelessly, and cherished every moment spent with family and friends. He will be greatly missed, but his spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who had the privilege to know him.
