Edward "Ed" Raymond Mennona, 76, formerly of Middletown, NJ, passed away peacefully on May 16, 2024 in Denver, CO. He was born in New York, NY and lived in Middletown, NJ most of his life. Ed was a beloved and devoted husband to his late wife, father to his two sons, and grandfather to his five grandchildren. Ed worked as a Certified Public Accountant for over 30 years and was valued as a reliable and trustworthy employee. He was a long-time parishioner at St. Catharine's Church in Holmdel and a frequent attendee of daily Mass at St. James Church in Red Bank. He was an avid New York sports fan, the Rangers and Giants in particular, and enjoyed many sunny Saturdays at Monmouth Park.
Surviving are his two loving sons and daughters-in-law, Ed Jr. and Moira Mennona, and Philip and Kristen Mennona, all of Denver, CO. He is also survived by his brother Frank Mennona and his wife Ceil; and his five beloved grandchildren, Johanna, Michael, Dominic, Ava, and Luca. Ed was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Josephine Mennona and his beloved wife of 46 years, Anne Mennona. Ed also had many friends, and he will be remembered for his sense of humor and his loyalty.
Visitation will be held Thursday, May 23, 2024 from 5:00 - 8:00 pm at John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, 115 Tindall Road, Middletown. Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, May 24, 2024 at 8:00 am at the funeral home. A Funeral Liturgy will be offered Friday, May 24, 2024 at 9:15 am at St. Catharine's RC Church, Middletown Rd., Holmdel. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Red Bank.
