Edward George Olszyk, born November 23rd 1931 passed away in his home on Monday, July 18th 2022. Born in Nanticoke, PA he had lived in Somerville and Glen Gardner before moving to Whiting 15 years ago. Eddie was a Veteran of the US Navy, member of the VFW & American Legion. He was a very dedicated and hard worker for both Johns Manville & Johanna Farms before retiring in 1991 after 25 years. Eddie was always on the go and was a great dancer, always the guy to watch at the weddings. He loved playing pinochle, gardening, sunbathing and his Budweiser. He also enjoyed family trips to Wildwood, visits with his grandchildren and cruising to just about any place he and Lara could go. But...most of all, Eddie was a dedicated father to his three children that he is survived by, beloved daughters, Hollie Olszyk Watts of PA, Tracy Olszyk of GA and beloved son, Scott Olszyk & daughter in law, Ramey Higgins Olszyk both of PA. He is also survived by five beautiful grandchildren; Ryan, Kennadie, Jenna, Hunterdon Watts & Donovan Fitzgerald and new addition great granddaughter, Sloane. His brothers, George, Ray, Tommy, Red and Charlie. His girlfriend Lara Dey and ex-wife, mother to his children, Lorraine Olszyk. He is predeceased by his sisters; Rose & Mary and brothers; Bernie, Stash, Henry & Joe. Memorial Gathering will be Saturday, July 30th 9-11 AM with a 10 AM service at Oliverie Funeral Home, 2925 Ridgeway Road, Manchester. Inurnment will follow at 2 PM at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Manville.
