Edward T. Peters

UTICA – Edward "Ed" T. Peters, 76, passed away on Saturday, September 11, 2021, at Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare with his family by his side.
Ed was born on January 24, 1945, in the Bronx, the son of the late John and Helen (Kulhawik) Peters. He attended Iona College.

On September 30, 1972, Ed married Alina Olearczyk in Holy Trinity Church, a blessed union of 48 years. He worked at MetLife for many years prior to his retirement.

Ed was an extremely talented musician who loved his polka music and brought great joy to thousands of people all over the Northeast. The love of his life was his grandchildren.

Surviving besides his beloved wife, Alina, is his son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Mindy Peters, North Carolina; grandchildren, Kazimir, Charlyanne, and Axl; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Mark and Carrie Olearczyk, Barneveld; Irene Misiaszek, Yorkville; Wanda and Tony Zayas, Frankfort and Murielle Peters, New Hampshire; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins, including his special niece, Kassie Misiaszek. Ed was predeceased by his brother, Jack Peters.

Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Thursday from 9 to 10 a.m. at McGrath, Myslinski, Karboski & Nunn Funeral Directors, 470 French Rd., Utica. Funeral Services will commence at 10 a.m. from the funeral home and a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sacred Heart & St. Mary, Our Lady of Czestochowa at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Yorkville.
