Edward O. Routley, 72, resident of Superior, passed away on Monday, June 24, 2024, in his home, surrounded by his family. He was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on December 9, 1951.
He was united in marriage to Kim Kaufman on August 5, 1978, they spent forty-six wonderful years together.
Ed had many interests and hobbies he loved being a part of, including shooting league pool, softball, golfing at Pattison Park Golf Course, classic cars, and loved hanging with his peeps at Jimmy's. He was also a huge fan of the Milwaukee Brewers and the Green Bay Packers. Most importantly, Ed loved to watch his grandchildren compete in sports.
He will be forever missed and loved by his wife Kim, Superior; children Christina (Robert) Rae, Grand Rapids, MN, Jason (Caroline) Routley, Duluth, MN, and Troy Routley, Superior; grandchildren Nick (Kassidy) Rae, Kyle Rae, Hailey Gohde, Taylor Routley, Codie Routley, Konnor Routley, Philip Routley, and Eliza Routley; great-granddaughters Zoey Lyn and Charlie; sister Nancy Singh; brothers Martin (Kathy) Crum, Daniel (Cris) Crum, and Russell (Rose) Crum; and several nieces and nephews.
Ed is preceded in death by his parents; son Codie Routley; sister-in-law Laura Kaufman; brother Larry Gunnon; and longtime friend John Derosia.
A Visitation will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, July 1, 2024, at the Lenroot-Maetzold Funeral Home, 1209 E. 5th Street in Superior, and will continue until the Memorial Service at 1:00 PM, with Gary Banker officiating.
