John was born June 22, 1967 in Columbus, GA son of the late Edward John Schwan, Jr and Anne Jackson Scwhan.
Other than his parents, John is preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Jed Simmons.
Survivors include his children, Edward John Schwan III of Columbus, GA, Logan Parker Schwan of Athens, GA, Elizabeth Leighann Schwan of Columbus, GA; former wife, Angela Michelle Schwan of Columbus, GA; sisters, Ann Crowder (Bill) of Columbus, GA, Elizabeth Betsy Simmons of Columbus, GA; nieces, Hannah Simmons (Joseph) of Columbus, GA, Ashton Urness of WInterhaven, FL; nephews, John Simmons (Elyse Bates) of Hurtsburo, AL, Justin Urness (Samantha) of Myrtle Beach, SC, Rad Thomas Robison of Asheville, NC, Bryar Hester of Columbus, GA, Russell Simmons (Rhea) of Pine Mountain, GA.
