Candice and the Sears kids, now all grown; I was shocked to discover Ed's passing. While I have not lived on Pine Street for thirty years, the Sears were our next-door neighbors since building their home next to ours in 1984. My mother spoke of you often before her passing, of being consummate neighbors in a time when that meant something very special to her. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Candace and family. Ed was my friend for a long time. We go back to junior high school. I did move out of the Lowell area but did not lose touch. When John phoned me and told me what happened, I was devastated. I´m still dealing with the pain of our collected loss. He was such a bright light, never harsh word and a lot of fun to be around. I am happy to call him a friend. Peace and love.

First, I am saddened to read this.
I attended Saint Paul´s Methodist Church as a child with Ed, we both Graduated from LHS /class of 1968 and later my Dad loved using his Painting Company and so did I. Ed was a professional, lived by his Church values and was simply a nice person. May his family know they are in my prayers.

I am so shocked. Ed was the picture of health walking through the Highlands day after day, usually with a favorite dog. When Monkey was alive, he and our then pup Gus would greet each other joyfully. After what seemed like many months, Ed and I learned that we were in the same Lowell High School graduation class. As I remember, Ed told me that he walked 5 miles a day. His dogs sure were lucky to have such an active partner! my deep condolences to his family.
