ELAINE A. WROBEL Beloved Sister and Aunt LOWELL-Elaine A. Wrobel passed away on Saturday, August 30, 2025 following a period of declining health. She was 81 years old. Elaine was born in Lowell on April 29, 1944, a daughter of the late Walter and Sophia (Kolek) Wrobel. She attended St. Stanislaw Polish Catholic Grammar School, and went on to receive special education. Elaine worked for Goodwill Industries in Lowell. Elaine grew up a "tom boy" loving the outdoor and active in sports. Her sister Mary Ann remembers partnering with her to do the dishes every night, where Elaine would always do the washing, leaving the drying to her younger sister. As she got older, Elaine liked to make hooked rugs. She loved to go out to eat, but pizza was her favorite. She enjoyed the thrills of gambling, and she was luckiest on the slot machines. Elaine was fortunate to be part of the community at Bridgewell of Dracut, where she excelled in their group home setting for the past 14 years. She made many friends there and made a lasting impression of their lives. Elaine is survived by her sister, Mary Ann Hutchinson and her husband David of New Hampshire; her nieces and nephews, Walter Wrobel, Kenny Wrobel, Chrissy Mills, Stephen Gendreau, Jim Callery and Brian Callery; also many great nieces and nephews. Elaine was the sister of the late Frances "Franny" M. (Wrobel) Gendreau and Walter J. Wrobel, Jr. and sister-in-law of the late Francis A. Gendreau and Bea (Gendreau) Wrobel. FAMILY AND FRIENDS ARE INVITED TO ATTEND ELAINE'S CALLING HOURS ON FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 12, 2025, FROM 9 AM UNTIL 10:30 AM AT THE FAY McCABE FUNERAL HOME, 105 MOORE STREET, LOWELL.
