Edward was born on December 6, 1941 to Elwood John Thrasher and Gertrude Ellen Huddleston Thrasher in Rosebud, Texas. He joined the Army at a young age and served in Vietnam. After he left the service, he went to work as Machinist at the Duplex Papermill until the plant shut down. Edward then went to work for Orion Business form until his retirement. In his spare time, he loved hunting, fishing and most of all being with his grandkids. He will be dearly missed by his family.
Edward Thomas Thrasher was preceded in death by his parents, Elwood and Gertrude Thrasher, his brothers, Leroy Thrasher, Robert Thrasher.
He is survived by his daughters, Tracy Zimmer (Kevin), Michelle Valerio (Ricky); his son, Daniel Thrasher; his grandkids, Dennis, Ty, Rayann, Lindsay, Jaycub, Chloe and Jaxon; his great granddaughter, Olivia; his great grandson, Ryland; his brother, Billy Thrasher; his sister, Jean Pitts and blessed with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Tracy, Danny, & Michelle;
I'm so sorry for your loss. Your dad was a good man & took care of y'all. I remember your dad riding all of us kids around in the bed of his truck & hitting every bump & pothole he could. We just laughed & laughed. We would play ghosts in the graveyard & he would sit at the window making sure we were ok. Great memories & good times.
