Edward Allison Turner began his life journey in Flint, Michigan on July 1,1963. He was born to George Eugene Turner and Leora Morrison Turner and was affectionately known as 'Eddie' to family & friends. Eddie was a graduate of Southwest High School in Atlanta and received a BA Degree from Duke University where he also became a proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.
He started his professional career as a pharmaceutical representative for Baxter Healthcare. He later worked overseas as a Sales Manager for Indus International in the United Kingdom and afterwards, Actuate Corporation in Latin America. He was ordained as a Minister in 1992 at Cornerstone Missionary Baptist Church in Oakland, CA, where he proudly served as Youth Minister, and when he returned to Atlanta, he continued working with the Youth Ministry at Mount Vernon Baptist Church.
As a Real Estate Agent, Eddie worked with the Robinson Realty Group and subsequently with Keller Williams Realty Cityside proudly proclaiming " Where E.T. sells homes."
Eddie loved performing. As a preteen, he was a member of the Southwest Atlanta Youth Orchestra, ascending to First Chair Violin. In the late 70s, he was a cast member of a local Emmy award winning TV show titled "Time Out" and then ventured into acting; serving as an extra in many TV shows and movies including "Coming to America 2", "Hawkeye", "First Kill", and "Them".
Eddie is survived by his mother, Leora Turner; brothers, Christopher, Royce (Candie), Darryl and Rodney Turner and his sister, Edith Turner-Haithcox(Carl). Eddie was also the proud uncle of Carlton Lewis Haithcox-II, Carlton Lamel Haithcox-III, Langston Coltrane Haithcox and Nathaniel Wright.
