Edward Tyrrell Obituary

Published by Legacy on Aug. 26, 2025.
Edward E. "Albert" Tyrrell of Clarks Hill passed away on Wednesday August 20, 2025, at his home surrounded by family.
He was born November 14, 1954, in Lafayette to the late George and Wilma (adams) Tyrrell and was a 1973 graduate of Wainwright High School. In 1979 he married Celina (Arroyo) Tyrrell in Frankfort, and she survives.
In his younger days, Ed worked with Higman Racing. He also worked at Fairfield for a brief time until becoming a member of the Laborers' International Local #274 where he worked road construction for Faubers, Millers Pipeline, Reith & Riley, and Milestone.
He enjoyed fishing, and mushroom and arrowhead hunting. He loved watching sports, especially basketball. He also loved nature, watching and feeding the birds and squirrels, and all animals. He also had a passion for cool old cars. Above all else, he cherished time spent with family and friends.
Along with his wife Celina, he is survived by their daughter Mia (Tyrrell) Runyan and her husband Steve and their 2 children, Ethan and Olivia Runyan. He also has 2 sons in his earlier years, Curtis Ricks and Judd McClure. He is also survived by his grandson, Drew McClure and granddaughter, Sage Ricks, as well as 2 siblings Greg Tyrrell and Michele Phebus; and uncle, Jim Adams.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Eric Tyrrell and granddaughter, Amity McClure.
A celebration of life will be held at the Clarks Hill Community Building from 12:00 pm until 3:00 pm on August 31, 2025.
