Edward Keith Wallace, known affectionately as Keith by his friends and family, passed away peacefully on September 9, 2025, in Tampa, FL, at the age of 74. Born on April 27, 1951, in Bartow, FL, Keith was a man whose life was characterized by his down to earth nature and his faith in Jesus Christ.
Keith was the beloved husband of Sharon (Sherry) Wallace. He was preceded in death by his parents Vernon and Ethel Wallace, parents Leonard and Hazel Edgeman and daughter Teresa Wallace. He is survived by his daughters, Katrina Hoffman, Mary Wallace,Jessica Engle step-son Chris Starling (Stephanie) and step-daughter Lisa Jimenez Ortega (Rene). His siblings Maureen Edgeman and Matt Edgeman (Coleen). His legacy continues through his 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
After proudly serving in the Army National Guard for over a decade, Keith continued working as a heavy equipment operator until retirement. He had many passions Including playing bass guitar and even singing in a vocal ensemble for a few seasons with a praise team at a local church. He was currently a standing member of Grace Church in Lakeland.
Keith's love extended beyond his family and church; he had a profound appreciation for nature, which was evident in his enjoyment of the outdoors and the care he showed for all living things. His fondness for cats was well-known, as was his respect and admiration for Native American culture, which he explored with enthusiasm and reverence.
As we bid farewell to Keith, we celebrate a life well-lived and honor a soul that has left his mark on this world. His memory will be treasured in the hearts of his loved ones and the countless lives he enriched with his kindness and wisdom. Keith's journey on earth may have concluded, but his spirit and the love he shared will continue to resonate for generations to come.
