CORDELE – With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Edward Lawson Ware, 67, who peacefully departed early Saturday morning, December 14, 2024, at Crisp Regional Hospital. The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 11 am, Saturday, December 21, 2024 with the funeral to follow at noon in the chapel of Hughes & Wright Funeral Home. Edward was a native of Macon, Georgia, born to the late Lawson Monroe Ware and Martha Mullis Ware. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Margaret Anne Ware.
A man who believed in hard work, Edward worked for the City of Arabi and volunteered as a firefighter. He had a deep passion for beekeeping, deriving joy from tending to his bees, and was renowned for his exceptional singing voice. A retired lead manager for Nationwide Homes, Edward dedicated his career to achieving excellence in his field. A devoted fan of the Auburn Tigers, he embraced life's simple pleasures, particularly his love for food.
