Edward Cutler Waterman age 88 passed away peacefully with family and friends at his Saint Petersburg home. He was born in Rhode Island and was one of the three children of Byron and Louise Waterman.
Edward was in the Coast Guard for four years and stationed at Cuttyhunk Island. Edward graduated college and worked as a master Carpenter on boats. His work led him to Florida, where he worked for Morgan Yachts. Edward and his wife had two sons, Ted and Bill.
He worked many years travelling across the country and the Caribbean, repairing and racing sailboats. He was an accomplished sailor and had won many races over the years. He was a long-time member of the Saint Petersburg Yacht Club and Propeller Club.
Besides his beloved sailboat "REDWING", he also loved building and repairing clocks. His home was filled with grandfather, grandmother clocks, German cuckoo clocks and many more. To many of us he was known as "Mr. fix it". He will be greatly missed and always remembered.

Ted was a master craftsman with wood and fiberglass. Old school, which he learned in Newport RI. and brought to St. Petersburg in 1970. Ted owned only two cars since 1970 and kept them running. This talents and unique personality will be missed.
