Funeral services for Edward "Eddie" Legene Weatherly, Jr., 71 of Hattiesburg, MS will be held at Young's Funeral Home in Ferriday, LA at 2 PM on Saturday, October 4, 2025 with Bro. Clay Kelly and Pastor Matthew Hutto officiating. Internment will follow at Oakley Cemetery under the direction of Young's Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at Young's Chapel before the service from 12 PM until 2 PM.

Eddie was born on Tuesday, March 30, 1954 in Natchez, MS and passed away Tuesday, September 30, 2025 at his home with his wife by his side. Eddie was a man whose hands were never still and whose heart was always steady. A proud member of the National Guard, he served his country with honor and discipline. On the road as a trucker, behind the counter as a grocery store manager, or building alongside others in construction, Eddie proved himself a true jack of all trades. He had the grit to tackle hard work and the wisdom to guide others through it. His life was defined by perseverance, resourcefulness, and a spirit that never backed down from a challenge. Beyond his many jobs, he carried himself with loyalty, humility, and a deep love for his family and friends. Eddie's legacy is one of dedication, strength, and service-a life well-lived and an example well-set.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Edward and Mildred Weatherly Sr., brother-in-law, Donald Allen, and granddaughters, Jadyn Birely and Paisley Melton.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Terri Seyfarth Weatherly of Hattiesburg, MS; son, Trae Weatherly (KariAnna) of Vidalia, LA; daughters, Nicki Kelly (Clay) of Ocean Springs, MS, Miranda Jones (Teryl) of Vidalia, LA, and Holly Birely (Dustin) of Natchez, MS; step-son, Timmy Beatty Jr. (Bonnie) of Natchez, MS; step-daughters, Betsy Melton (Josh) of Purvis, MS, and Becky Lea (Jordan) of Brookhaven, MS; sisters, Betty Allen of Monroe, LA, and Bobbie Ross (Terry) of Ragley, LA; brother, Randy Weatherly (Jennie) of Ferriday, LA; sister, Mary Brown (Keith) of Lake Charles, LA; seventeen grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Those honoring him as pallbearers will be Tristan Weatherly, Cullen Weatherly, Timmy Beatty Jr., Dustin Birely, Jordan Lea, and Josh Melton.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Ricky Stevens and Bo Stevens.
