Edward Eugene Welch

A memorial service for Edward Eugene Welch will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, November 14, 2025, at Jeane's Funeral Service. A visitation will begin at 1:30 p.m. An inurnment with military honors will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, November 17, 2025, at the Central Louisiana Veterans Cemetery. Edward was born December 8, 1943, in Paducah, Kentucky and passed away November 12, 2025, in Leesville, Louisiana at the age of 81. He proudly served his country in the Vietnam War where he received a purple heart. Edward was preceded in death by his wife, Jeannie; son, David Welch; father, George Edward Welch; mother, Mildred Harris; and brother, Wayne Welch. Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Darrel Welch (Kami), Tina Smith (Randy), Katrina Hughes, and George Welch; grandchildren, Candace Welch, Shellie Welch, Lean Welch, Jeremy Welch, Ryan Smith, Chad Smith, Kayla Ware, Jacob Welch, Cynthia, Lisa, and Barbara; multiple great-grandchildren; siblings, Margaret Kimbrell, Monda Walker, Larry Harris, Jeanetta Wilson, and Connie Smith; and a host of extended family members and friends.
