Ed's life journey began with a proud service in the Navy, where he dedicated himself as a Master Machinist on the Sub-Tender. His loved ones will cherish the countless memories of joyous occasions spent together, filled with laughter and happiness. Ed had a special talent for brightening a room and lifting spirits. He enjoyed embodying the spirit of joy, often playing Santa Claus for children, spreading cheer during the festive seasons.

In addition to his lively personality, Ed was passionate about collecting Kentucky Derby memorabilia, a hobby that showcased his love for tradition and the rich culture of his home state. He also took great pride in his commitment to Alcoholics Anonymous, having been a devoted member for 44 years, during which he sponsored hundreds of individuals on their journeys to recovery.
