Edwin Earl Hickle OCEAN PINES, MD - Edwin Earl Hickle, of Ocean Pines, Maryland, passed away on March 29, 2025, at the age of 76. Born on July 25, 1948, Ed is survived by his two sons, James Hickle and Chris Hickle (married to Rachel Shifreen); his sister, Pam Passarello (married to Mike Passarello) and their children, Michael and Gina; and his former wife, Lynn Hickle. He was preceded in death by his parents, William "Jack" Hickle and Helen Louise Hickle, whom he honored with unwavering love and respect throughout his life, and his recent partner, Monica Peterka, with whom he shared much laughter and cherished memories. Ed dedicated his professional life to CitiGroup, where he served as a Vice President for 30 years before retiring in his mid-fifties. His successful career allowed him to pursue his many passions in retirement. Ed was an avid sports enthusiast who loved both watching and playing golf, often embarking on golf vacations with his dear friend, Ralph McGarrell. He was a devoted fan of the Baltimore Orioles and Ravens, rarely missing a game. His love for his canine companions was evident throughout his life, with his most recent dog, Murphy, holding a special place in his heart. Ed had a deep appreciation for history, particularly the Civil War and World War II. He enjoyed traveling to historical sites, expanding his knowledge through his extensive reading, and watching movies. He loved traveling with his family to new locations, eating crabs, and spending time on the beach, with Assateague Beach being a particular local favorite. Most of all, Ed cherished the time spent with his family. Ed's warm presence, quick wit, and generous spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew him. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, https://www.stjude.org/
