Edwin Mcwilliams Obituary
Edwin was a proud native of Macon and lived a life full of passion and adventure. He had an innate love for the open water and could often be found driving his boat, casting his fishing line, or enjoying the tranquility of the outdoors. Edwin's cherished pickup truck was a symbol of his love for simplicity and the joy he found in life's simple pleasures. Beyond his love for the outdoors, Edwin was a devoted family man who found joy in spending time with his loved ones. He had a warm and playful spirit, known for his infectious sense of humor, and was both a jokester and a prankster who never failed to bring laughter into the lives of those around him.
One of Edwin's proudest achievements was his invention of an automated fishing pole designed to enable quadriplegics to experience the joy of fishing. This innovation spoke volumes about Edwin's compassionate and inclusive nature, showcasing his desire for everyone to share his passions.
Edwin is survived by his father, Edwin "Emory" Dollar McWilliams, Sr.; siblings, Janice Gabriel (Ronnie), James McWilliams (Linda), and June James (Walt); his beloved pet, Buddy; as well as several nieces and nephews who held a special place in his heart. Edwin was preceded in death by his mother, Virginia Lydia Woodard McWilliams.
The family expresses special thanks to all of Edwin's caretakers for their unwavering support and care.

I met Edwin through a friend.. I went to Edwin's house to meet w him and discuss hopefully being able to work for him/with him.. I thought he was absolutely amazing and he had such a great sense of humor. I spent a good bit of time there just talking with him filling out the application and just laughing with him.. I fell in love with him at that exact moment.. he was just so magical in spirit and just a joy to be around.. I miss him so very much and just miss his smile his wonderful sense of humor and him having me in the kitchen cooking the craziest concoctions I've ever put together lol I'm forever blessed to have been honored with his friendship.. thank you Edwin for seeing in me what I didn't quite see in myself and for giving me a chance to be at your side..you are forever loved..
