**Obituary for Edwin Lavern “Vern” Norrid**
Edwin Lavern “Vern” Norrid, age 79, of Collinsville, passed away on November 12, 2025. Born on March 5, 1946, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Vern was the son of Edwin Nathaniel Norrid and Carrie Pauline (Jones) Norrid. A proud resident of Collinsville for the past 35 years, he previously called Sand Springs, Oklahoma, his home.
Vern graduated from Charles Page High School in Sand Springs and honorably served in the United States Army from 1967 to 1969 during the Vietnam War. He had a long and dedicated career, retiring from Crosby McKissick Oilfield Manufacturing.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Carol Jean Norrid, his daughter, Dianna Lynn Reece of Tulsa, and his stepdaughter, Tamra Blum of Collinsville. Vern’s family also includes eight grandchildren: Drue Johnson and his wife Anna, Jessie Hallford, Diamond Hallford, Ashley Norrid-Reece, Tory Reece, Landon Blum, Austin Blum, and Skyler Blum, as well as five great-grandchildren: Payton Johnson, Jackson Johnson, Isabella Hallford, Nathaniel Reece, and Averie Johnson.
Vern is preceded in death by his daughter, Elizabeth Hallford, and granddaughter, Kristina Norrid.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 17, 2025, from noon to 8:00 PM at the Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home, with the family present from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Funeral services will take place at Faith Fellowship Church at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, officiated by Rev. Kelvin Limbocker. Interment will follow at 3:00 PM at Woodland Memorial Park Cemetery in Sand Springs.
Services are entrusted to Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home.
