Edwin Glenn Price Sr. went to his heavenly home on December 30, 2024.
He was the son of Zebulon Vance Price and Ada Simpson Price of Jamesville. He is proceeded in death by his loving wife Peggy Jean Price, a son Arthur Vance Price and 9 siblings Thurman, Carlyle, Melvin, Marvin, Colon, Trula, James Vance, Seymour, and Baby Boy Price and two great grandchildren, Jayden Hinson and Ivey Price.
He is survived by his children: Glenda Marrow (Mack) of Roper, Carolyn Hardison(Staten) of Pantego, Raymond Price, Ed Price, and Buddy Price of Jamesville, 16 Grandchildren, 20 Great Grandchildren, and 2 Great Great Grandchildren set to arrive this summer. Siblings surviving include: Shirley Council, Alfred Price(Barbara), Larry Price(Betty) and Wayne Price, all of Williamston.
Through the years he was a man of many trades. He lived his life as a hard worker. He was a leader of the Boy Scout Troop in Jamesville teaching the next generation of boys in the community. He spent years working on the tugboat, logging and ditching. In his free time, he enjoyed gardening, hunting, and fishing. He also spent many hours in a business he started right out of his yard, Price Brother's Barbecue. He not only served the community great BBQ, but also with cuts of meat that were delivered throughout eastern NC. Many of his days were spent building and welding anything and everything he could. To only have a 3rd grade education, he was very smart and ahead of his time. He was known for many of his works such as the fishing machine, almost a staple to the community and the Roanoke River. If something did not have wheels, or needed to be a certain way to get the job done, he would build it himself. He made a cart to drive around in the log woods, multiple attachments to go on tractors, and anything else he could think of including a display of motorcycles on a pole in front of his home. He loved buying nick nacks here and there. He enjoyed riding around to look at scenery with his wife, whether it was down a country road or in the Dismal. A man that was a jack of all trades, a tough man, but had the heart of a teddy bear that his family adored.
Services will be held Sunday, January 5th,2025 at Maple Grove Christian Church at 2:00 pm. The family will receive friends following the service.

He was a friend to all. Enjoyed the times spent in the woods hunting and on the river fishing with him. Enjoyed helping him a couple times barbecuing a whole hog when we were down there.
He will be missed by everyone.
