Edwin "Eddie" Shepard

Edwin "Eddie" Jay Shepard, 58, of Lafayette, IN, passed away on Tuesday, August 12, 2025.
He was born on January 23, 1967 in Lafayette, IN to Edwin A. Shepard and Jo Iva (Rinehart) Blye.
Edwin graduated in 1986 from South Newton High School in Kentland, IN.
On August 14, 1999, he married Tarama Osten Briggs and they later divorced.
Eddie loved spending time outside making sure the lawn and landscaping was well-cared for, spending time with his great-nieces and great-nephews, watching the Indianapolis Colts and Chicago Cubs games with his mom and sister, and hanging out with his dad.
Surviving are his mother Jo Blye of Lafayette, IN; his father & stepmother, Edwin & Kathy Shepard of Lafayette, IN; his son, Nycholas Shepard of New Orleans, LA; his stepdaughter, Alicia (Justin) Calhoun of Bryant, AR; and his siblings, Susan (Bob) Haas of South Bend, IN, Donna Shepard of Lafayette, IN, and Tim (Candi) Blye of Lafayette, IN. Also surviving are his cousin/blood brother, Jeff Henry and lots of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Virgina Shepard, his stepfather, James Allen Blye, and his ex-wife, Tamara Briggs.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2025 at 3 p.m. at Fisher Funeral Chapel. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 1 to 3 p.m.
