Edwin Truax Obituary
Born on December 6, 1934, in Clermont, Indiana, Edwin was the son of Horace and Elizabeth Truax. His life was marked by dedication-to his country, to his family, and to the passions that brought him joy.
Edwin proudly served in the United States Air Force, rising to the rank of Major before retiring in 1975. A Vietnam veteran, he exemplified courage and commitment throughout his military career. His service left a lasting impression on those who served alongside him and those who knew him after his return home.
In 2017, Edwin was preceded in death by his beloved wife Barbara. Together they built a life centered around family and shared values. He is survived by his five sons: Norman (Susanne), Stanley, James (Cindy), Arnold (Rene), and Aaron (Susan). His legacy continues through them and the lives they touch.
Outside of his military service and family life, Edwin found great enjoyment on the golf course. Known for what he fondly referred to as his "golf addiction," he spent countless hours perfecting his swing and enjoying the camaraderie of fellow golfers.
Edwin's long life was one of purpose and perseverance. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him and serve as a reminder of a life well lived in service and love.
