Edwin Earl Wright, of Washington, Missouri and formerly of Steelville, passed away Sunday, September 14, 2025 in Washington, Missouri at the age of 100 years, 9 months and 6 days. Edwin was born December 8, 1924 in Steelville, MO to Lewy Wright and Flossie Perkins Wright.

Edwin graduated from Steelville High School in 1942 and joined the U.S. Army in 1943 where he served honorably in the Asiatic-Pacific Theatre Campaign and other locations until 1945. He was awarded two Bronze Stars, a Purple Heart and several other Ribbons, Service Bars and Buttons for his dedicated service.

In April of 1948, Edwin was united in marriage to his friend from youth and love of his life, Faye Lorena Weber, and to this union one son and two daughters were born.
