Eileen Frances Cestone
Resident of Bloomingdale for 15 years
Eileen Frances Cestone, 78, of Bloomingdale, passed away peacefully on October 2, 2025. Born March 1, 1947, in Yonkers, New York, she was the beloved daughter of the late Frank and Helen Tursi.
Eileen grew up in New York and pursued a career in nursing, working at Yale Hospital, where she met her future husband, Michael Cestone. Together, they built a loving family and shared a life full of devotion, laughter, and care. Eileen and Michael were blessed with four children and 13 cherished grandchildren.
Passionate about nursing and family, Eileen poured her heart into caring for others, whether at work or at home. She loved being a mother and grandmother, treasuring every moment spent with her family.
Eileen is survived by her children, Tricia Richards (Tom Richards), Christine Kirby (Joe Kirby), and Michael Cestone (Gina Hill); her sister, Patricia Cauley; and her grandchildren: Christian, Brandon, Mikey, Brianna, Jake, Nicholas, Ryleigh, Colin, Adriana, Susan, Gianna, Samantha, and Joseph. She also leaves behind her beloved nephews, Kenny Cauley, John and Bobby Cestone; her nieces, Deby Cestone and Joy Metz.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Cestone; her son, Kevin Cestone; and her parents, Francis and Helen Tursi.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, October 9, at 10:45 a.m. at St. Isidore Parish, 427 W. Army Trail Road, Bloomingdale, with inurnment to follow at St. Isidore Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Eileen's name to Bringingjoy.org, a nonprofit supporting cancer patients.
Eileen will be deeply missed by all whose lives she touched and remembered for her warmth, kindness, and unwavering love for her family.
