B. John Cestone

Benjamin John Cestone died peacefully at home surrounded by his family. He was 83.
Benjamin John, known by most as "John" was born in Brooklyn, New York on February 24, 1941, to his parents, Marie Antoinette and Benjamin Cestone. He grew up in White Plains, working in his father's business, Best Carting Service, and on his Uncle John's farm in Hopewell.
After graduating Archbishop Stepinac High School, in White Plains, he attended the University of Dayton, Ohio, where he studied Business Administration and participated in the Reserve Officers Training Program.
He was a devout father, family man, husband, mentor, businessman, and strong leader. He was known for his charisma and business acumen. He continued to build on his father's private sanitation company, started in the town of Greenburgh in 1936 as Best Carting, later growing into Better Carting Service Inc., a competitive trucking company serving five counties in the New York Tri-State area, based in White Plains. He dedicated his life to growing and building relationships in the industrial carting industry and leaves this legacy to his son, Tim Cestone.
His greatest pride and joy were his five children with his first wife, Lorraine Sutton Cestone. Angie, Jenna, Tim, Lara and Sean and his ten grandchildren. He will forever be remembered for his unrelenting devotion to and love for his family. He was predeceased by his wife, Cynthia Cofini Cestone.
John had a lifelong appreciation of the arts – music, broadway shows and performance dance. He loved sporting events, car and truck shows, fall foliage festivals and the great outdoors. He was active in the religious community participating in Sunday Services.
John had a warm, loving presence with an unwavering strength to get things done.
He will be deeply missed.
