Eileen W. Junod

In the early hours of September 10, 2023, heaven received another angel when Eileen W. Junod passed away peacefully at home. She was 67. Eileen was born on May 13, 1956 to the late David H. Wagner and to Helen Wagner Prendergast (nee - Cranney). She is survived by her mother, Helen; her "other half" James "Jimmy" Piel; her children David Junod and his wife Masami, Jackie Vergara and her husband Keith, and Eileen "Beenie" Junod; her grandchildren Jamie Maldonado, Andrew Vergara, Patrick Vergara, Mika Junod, and Kenji Junod; her siblings Jeannie Metzger, David Wagner and his wife Mariellyn, Michael "Bear" Prendergast and his wife Jackie, Julie Field and her husband Randy, Bill Wagner and his wife Jane, Michelle Jernigan and her husband Eddie, Cathy Wagner Galiè and her husband Tim, the late Linda Ellis and her husband the late Eddie, the late Bruce Prendergast and his wife Stephanie, and the late David Prendergast and his late husband Robert Fritz; "Auntie Ei" is also survived by a legion of nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, a loving extended family, and many friends.
Eileen was raised and educated in the East Torresdale neighborhood of Philadelphia, a graduate of St. Jerome's Parish School and Archbishop Ryan High School. In her working years, she was employed with ACME markets, retiring after 47 years of service as Office Coordinator. She loved the beach and in her free time she enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends.
Family and friends are invited to Eileen's Life Celebration on Sunday, September 17, 2023 from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. at the John F. Givnish Life Celebration Home, 10975 Academy Road, Philadelphia, PA 19154, and then again on Monday, September 18, 2023 from 9:30 until her Funeral Mass begins at 10:30 A.M. at St. Jerome's Parish Church, 8100 Colfax Street, Philadelphia, PA 19136. Interment will be private.
