Eileen W. Kays, age 95, wife of the late Donald P. Kays, of Phoenixville, PA and formerly Cream Ridge, NJ, passed away on Thursday, September 11, 2025 in the Rehab at Shannondell, Audubon, PA. Born on June 4, 1930 in Newark, NJ, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Margaret (Aitken) Whitaker. It was at Verona High School, where she graduated from, that she met the love of her life, Donald. They shared 71 years of marriage before his passing in 2024. As her family began and grew, Mrs. Kays was a homemaker, tending to her family. As the children grew, she worked as an office manager for UGI, later known as AmeriGas, in Bordentown, NJ. She eventually took a job with Planco Financial Service, which eventually became The Hartford, where she worked in data management for over 25 years until her retirement. She also had the opportunity to work alongside her husband at the farm in the daily operations of horse breeding and racing. Mrs. Kays was an avid reader, loved to dance, watch old movies, complete crossword puzzles, horse racing, and was a Philadelphia Eagles fan. She enjoyed the shows in Las Vegas and spending weekends in Atlantic city. She cherished the time spent with family, and most looked forward to yearly family vacations to Point Pleasant, NJ, where she spent time walking the boardwalk and visiting the arcades. Her sense of humor will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Mrs. Kays is survived by three children, Jeffrey Kays, Mitchell Kays, and Donna (Joe) Kays; four grandchildren, Michelle (Brent) Allen, Angela (Jeremy) Christopherson, Shawn (Missy) Kays, and Brittany (Jake) Jacobson; six great-grandchildren; and nephews and niece, William (Mary) Nothnagel, Linda Nothnagel, and Gene (Fran) Streiter. She was preceded in death by one great-grandson, and two sisters, Gladys Streiter and Ruth Nothnagel. Funeral services will be held privately at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to a charity of your choice. Arrangements are being handled by the Campbell - Ennis - Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc., Phoenixville, PA. Condolences may be offered online at www.PhoenixvilleFuneralHome.com.
