Eileen Marie Kearney, of Norwell, MA, passed away on May 30, 2025, at the age of 65.
She was born in Boston to Elizabeth Ann McGough (Doyle) and Donald Roger Kearney and raised in Holbrook where she attended St. Joseph’s School. The family moved to Norwell in 1970, and Eileen graduated from Norwell High School.
Eileen was creative and artistic and her art manifested in many mediums including drawing, painting, gardening, playing guitar and poetry. She had a great love of the outdoors excelling from a young age at horseback riding, skiing and swimming.
Eileen spent the vast majority of her life living in southeastern Massachusetts, but she felt most at home on Cape Cod. She cherished the life she built for herself in Hyannis where she was free to pursue her interests while being close to the ocean, her beloved family and a network of friends she cultivated in the community.
Despite the adversity Eileen faced, her life was full of love, happiness and kindness for those around her. She went through her life with her signature sense of humor. Eileen will truly be missed by all who knew her.
Loving daughter of Elizabeth Ann McGough (Doyle) and her late husband James B. of Englewood, FL and the late Donald Roger Kearney. Cherished sister of Rajakanya Kathleen Kearney of Weymouth, Raymond Kearney and his wife Amira of Tampa, FL, and David Kearney and his husband Odin Moreira of East Bridgewater. Also survived by many loving relatives, her aunt and uncle, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Thursday, June 12, 2025, from 4-7 PM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM.
