Eileen M. Mitrano (née Diamond) April 17, 1949 – December 30, 2025
Eileen M. Mitrano, age 76, of
Henrietta, NY, passed away unexpectedly on December 30, 2025, following a brief illness. She was born on April 17, 1949, in
Norwich, New York, and grew up in Brighton. She later made her home in Henrietta, where she raised her family and spent the majority of her life.
Eileen was predeceased by her beloved husband and soulmate, Michael Mitrano, in 2016. Their love story began in Rochester, where they met and became engaged just ten days later. They were married on October 2, 1971, at Sacred Heart Cathedral and shared nearly 45 years of devoted marriage. Together, they raised their sons in Henrietta and built a life rooted in deep love, loyalty, and partnership. After Michael's passing, Eileen missed him dearly every single day.
She was also predeceased by her parents, Merritt (Red) and Margaret Diamond, In-laws Joseph and Pearl Mitrano, her brother-in-law, Richard Mitrano and her nephew, Alan Merritt Diamond.
Eileen is survived by her sons, Marc (Cheri) Mitrano and Andrew (Jessica) Mitrano, both of
Henrietta, NY, and by the true joys of her life-her grandsons Connor, Ethan, and Kenrick Mitrano. She adored her grandsons and found her greatest happiness in watching them grow and cherishing time spent together.
She is also survived by her siblings: Charles (Terrene) Diamond; Merritt (Linda) Diamond; Patricia (David) McHargue; and Alan (Teresa) Diamond. Brother-in-Law Thomas Mitrano (Linda Letta). Eileen was a loving aunt to many nieces and nephews, including Chris (Charles) Robbins; Kim (Ken) Richards; Glen (Naiya) McHargue; Kyle (Tia) McHargue; Jamie Diamond; Mallory Diamond (Jon Tantillo); and Mackenzie Diamond (Chris DeWandel). She is also survived by many great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and extended family members who were dear to her.
Eileen spent more than 25 years at Tuthill Lighting and later worked for ADT, where she remained until her retirement.
In 2016, Eileen adopted her beloved dog, Star, from Duffy's Friends who became a constant companion and source of comfort, bringing joy, purpose, and unconditional love.
Eileen was a steady and loving presence in the lives of those around her. She showed her love quietly-through her loyalty, her thoughtfulness, and the way she was always there when it mattered most. Family meant everything to her, and she took the greatest pride and joy in being a mother and grandmother. Her kindness, warmth, and the deep love she carried for her family will be remembered always.
At the heart of Eileen's life was love-for her husband, her family, and her grandchildren-and that love remains her lasting legacy.
Family and friends are invited to call on TUESDAY, January 6, from 4-7 PM at Miller Funeral and Cremation Services (3325 Winton Rd S). Her service will immediately follow at 7 PM in the chapel of the funeral home.
Private interment at the convenience of the family.
