Eileen Oretha Rawlins

Eileen Oretha Rawlins passed away on Friday, April 28, 2023 at the age of 89 years old. She was preceded in death by her husband, Behelier 'Pinky/Alford' Rawlins; her parents James and Ida Stanley; her daughter Petra Stanley; grandchildren Chester Stanley and Michelle 'Mandy' Stanley; sister Ernestine Stanley; brothers David 'Jack' Stanley and Victor 'Benson' Stanley; sister-in-law Jennifer Stanley; brother-in-law George 'Colopy' Wilkinson and special friend Joyce Robinson. She is survived by her Daughters- Barbara Rawlins (Georgia) and Shirley Juliet 'Julie' Stanley (Nevis); adopted son Mikey Drigo (St. Thomas); Grandchildren- Henry 'Wil' Smith II and wife Angelita Smith (Georgia), Toshio Daniel and wife June Daniel (Nevis), Jamiel Daniel (Nevis), Shervin 'Munga' Daniel (Nevis), Juldain 'Shabba' Daniel (Nevis), Shelley-Ann 'Cindy' Stanley-Cannonier (St. Thomas), Grace 'Susie' Stanley, Joanne Dasent and Ajodie Dasent; Brother- Charles Stanley (New York); Sister- Oretha 'Lizzie' Wilkinson (Nevis); Special Neices- Eulalie Stanley (Florida) and June Stanley (Florida); Sisters-in-Law- Marilyn Stanley (St. Croix), Hyacinth Stanley (New York), Mavis Rosario (St. Thomas), Annette Nisbett (Connecticut) and Eileen Nisbett (St. Thomas); Brothers-in-Law- Harold Nisbett (Florida), Mastine Nisbett (New York), William Nisbett (St. Thomas), Rupert Nisbett (Florida); Special Friends- Elswith 'Elsie' Joseph, Bernadine Williams (St.Thomas), Berna 'Alice' Percival, and Aluvis 'Verne' Schneider. Many nieces, nephews, family and friends to numerous to mention. Eileen was born on October 30, 1933 in Nevis, West Indies, where she resided with her parents and siblings. She was the eldest of four (4) children and completed her education at Gingerland High School. She gave birth to her first daughter, Petra Stanley. She left Nevis and moved to Curacao in search of work and eventually moved back home to Nevis where she birthed her second daughter Juliet Stanley. Later, she moved to St. Thomas where she met Behelier Rawlins. As a result, I (her third daughter, Barbara Rawlins) was born and they got married several years later.
