Eileen Margaret Show

Mrs. Eileen Margaret Show, age 98, former resident for most of her life in Canajoharie, New York, passed away June 17, 2025 in Cape Coral, Florida. She lived in Fort Myers, Florida for the last 5 years.
She was born on February 1, 1927 in Canajoharie, New York, and she was the daughter of the late Florence and Joseph Paluzzi Sr.Eileen was a graduate of St. Mary's institute in Amsterdam. She received her nursing degree from St. Mary's Hospital Nursing School and later received a Masters Degree from SUNY of Albany. Eileen served in the United States Navy from 1947 until 1959. She served two tours in Brooklyn and Seattle and served a tour in Korea, where she received the US occupation Award in 1953. Eileen was one of the first of three Naval Waves in Naval history to be assigned to ship duty. After Eileen served as a nurse Practitioner and taught Instructional Nursing at FMCC retiring a number of years ago.
Eileen enjoyed reading, working in her garden and helping her neighbors leading a healthy life.
She was a member of the former St. Peter and Paul's Roman Catholic Church in Canajoharie and most recently a member of St. Cecilia Roman Catholic Church in Fonda.
She was married to Knute V. Show who passed away on February 21, 2015.
Eileen is survived by several nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews, and great great nieces and great great nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, July 2, 2025 at St. Cecilia Roman Catholic Church, 26 Broadway, Fonda, NY at 11:00 am, followed by a burial with Military Honors at St. Peter & Paul's Cemetery in Canajoharie, NY. The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday from 3 to 5 pm at the Betz, Rossi, Bellinger & Stewart Family Funeral Home, 69 Otsego Street, Canajoharie, NY. Memorial contributions may be made in Eileen's memory to Mountain Valley Hospice, 108 Steele Avenue, Gloversville, NY 12078.
