Barry Dalton Show passed into eternal life at his home in Ridgecrest, CA on Monday, February 10, 2025.
Barry was born on June 17, 1942, raised in Farmington, PA, and attended Uniontown Joint Senior High School in Uniontown, PA.
Barry joined the U.S. Navy at the age of 17 in 1959. He worked as a Missile Technician 1st Class on the USS Henry Clay Submarine while serving. Barry left active duty Navy in December of 1966, and moved to the Bay Area in California to further his education. He enrolled in University of California, Berkeley to study electronic engineering. After graduating from UC Berkeley, he was offered a job at Naval Air Warfare Center in China Lake, CA. He joined the civil service work force as an Electronic Engineer, and moved to Ridgecrest in June of 1972. Once he began working, he decided to continue his education by attending University of Southern California to get his Masters Degree in Electronic Engineering. He graduated with his Masters Degree from USC in 1976. He worked as a Supervisory Electronic Engineer at China Lake from June 1972 until his retirement from China Lake in December of 1999.
Barry enjoyed fishing, cooking, working on his classic trucks, and riding motorcycles. When Barry's son was young, Barry was active in coaching his son's little league teams. Barry was a jack-of-all-trades, and very skilled in electrical and carpentry. He enjoyed doing his own home improvement projects, along with helping friends or family members with their household projects.
Barry is survived by his wife of almost 35 years, Karen Show, his son Robert Show (Karen), and stepdaughters Shannon Tharp (Jason) and Stefanie Freund (Billy). He was a wonderful grandfather to his 10 grandchildren Nicholas Show (Brittany), Anthony Show (Jafet), Brandon Show (Alyssa), Brianna Show (Dylan), Tony Trinh, Ryan Trinh, Malia Armstrong (BK), James Tharp, Makynna Freund, and Karson Freund.
Barry was also blessed with 11 great grandchildren Xander Show, Xayne Show, Zarion Show, Camdyn Ferris, Cohen Ferris, Bryson Show, Eliana Show, Hayden Ferris, Brantley Armstrong, Rhett Armstrong, and Dawson Armstrong. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Barry will be interred with military honors at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
Memorial Service will be held at on Thursday March 27th, 2025 at 12:00pm with reception to follow.
